The selling rate of a US dollar exceeded the Rs. 144 mark today for the first time in Sri Lankan history.
According to the daily exchange report of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), the selling rate of a US dollar stood at Rs. 144.17 today.
However, when adaderanabiz.lk inquired from a representative of a brokering company he said though the US dollar exceeded the Rs. 144 mark, there had been no transactions carried out at this rate.
